In a series of video posts on Instagram, it is seen that the 'Black Adam' star gave his mother a gift in the form of a new house complete with its contents.
Dwayne Johnson has proven that he has succeeded in being a dutiful son to his mother. Imagine, the actor who is familiarly called The Rock surprised his mother, Ata Johnson, with something unusual.
In a series of posts on Instagram, it appears that the "Black Adam" star gave his mother a gift in the form of a new house. In one video, it can be seen that Ata, 73, approaches the threshold before walking through his front door for the first time.
Above the entrance hangs a sign that reads "Le Samoana" which may refer to his mother's Samoan ancestry. The Rock's mother's reaction was very touching when she saw her new home. The house was designed by him and his team for eight weeks.
"When I was a kid, I hated it when my mom cried," Rock wrote. "Today, I will happily wipe away her happy tears."
Johnson has indeed bought a house for his mother several times. However, the house he was given this time was quite special.
"I've been lucky enough to have bought her several houses over the years," he continued. "But this one is special because he's told me time and time again over the past few years, 'After a trip of a lifetime, I want this house to be my last. It's my dream'."
In another video, The Rock's mother is seen entering the family room. There, she can be seen standing weeping at the sight of a series of old family photos.
"I took my mom to her new living room where we put her vintage ukulele on the wall and I was able to find pictures of our ancestors she hadn't seen since she was a kid growing up in Samoa," Johnson continued. "He misses his mom and dad. I miss them too. Thank God for blessing me with a little work ethic to make things like this happen." (wk/zodi)
