FKA Twigs Reveals Reasons for Dare to Speak Up About Violence and Harassment Allegedly Perpetrated by His Ex-lover, Shia LaBeouf. Peek FKA Twigs' Interesting Confessions Only Here.
The former couple FKA twigs and Shia Labeouf are known to have clashed. FKA accused Shia of sexually harassing him. FKA also exposed a series of bad treatment by Shia to him when he was still dating.
The musician whose full name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett even sued Shia at the court. He sued Shia for alleged emotional and physical abuse. In its lawsuit, FKA also accused Shia of being violent and being rude to her.
Due to FKA's recognition, Shia's career had faded. Even a number of Shia's ex-girlfriends began to dare to appear and speak up about the bad treatment of the actor. As a result, many parties thank FKA for daring to raise the case.
Now, FKA has opened up about the reasons for daring to speak up about Shia's bad treatment. Through an interview with GQ magazine, FKA just doesn't want the bitter experience he went through to happen to other people. He prevents other women from getting hurt for the same reason.
"I just don't want anyone else to get hurt, and that overpowers my feelings about what people think of me now, positively or negatively," FKA said.
FKA also wants the children to understand that their mother once struggled to defend herself. According to the 34-year-old singer, defending self-respect is very important. Because of that, FKA is not afraid to expose his ex-lover's mistakes.
"If I have children, I want them to know that I stand up for myself, and that's important. And sometimes, defending myself is difficult," said FKA.
FKA also admitted that he was proud of himself because he dared to defend himself. According to him, bad risks such as trauma can occur if a person holds back to defend himself.
"Sometimes it can cause more trauma, and sometimes it can be divisive," concluded FKA. "People don't expect you to stand up for yourself but I did and I'm proud of it, and what happened to me wasn't right." (wk/Side)
