Hailey Baldwin's skincare brand 'Rhode' is being sued after being released a few days ago. Skincare Brand 'Rhode' Allegedly Has the Same Name With Another Brand.

Hailey Baldwin is suddenly in trouble with the law. Because his skincare brand, Rhode, was suddenly sued. Hailey's newly launched business is suspected of infringing trademarks.

The Rhode brand is known to be Hailey's new business that focuses on beauty. The 25-year-old model started her beauty brand with a number of skincare products. It is known, Rhode was taken from Hailey's middle name.

Rhode was officially released by Hailey on June 15, 2022. The skincare products launched by Hailey are priced starting at 16 USD or the equivalent of IDR 250 thousand.

Unfortunately, at the beginning of her business, Hailey actually got from a fashion brand that also has the exact name, namely Rhode. Clothing line owners Purna Khatau and Phoebe Vickers are suing Hailey for a name change.

This brand claims to have used the Rhode name since 2013. Now, their brand is nine years old. Therefore, Rhode did not accept it because he was worried that the similarity of brand names could affect sales and consumer confidence.

According to a report by People, Khatau and Vickers filed a lawsuit on Tuesday (21/6). Rhode also briefly expressed their objections to Hailey's business through the official Instagram page.

"Nine years ago, we quit our jobs and founded Rhode. Creating a fashion company from scratch. We were two businesswomen who met in college, built the RHODE brand, and worked hard for years," the post reads.

"Today, we are forced to file a lawsuit against Hailey Bieber and her new skincare line that launched last week and which uses the 'rhode' brand." "We don't want to file this lawsuit, but we have to do it to protect our business."

In court documents, Rhode claimed to be a brand that now has an impressive reputation. The brand has even been used by a number of Hollywood celebrities. Two of them are Rihanna and Beyonce Knowles.

Khatau and Vickers have also planned to expand their business into selling makeup and skin care. Therefore, it is feared that the similarity of brands will confuse consumers.

Until this news was made, Hailey had not opened her voice regarding the lawsuit. The public is also curious about what steps Hailey will take. Given that Justin Bieber's wife has been preparing for the release of the Rhode brand for a long time. (wk/Side)
