Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair have been friends for decades. And they've been together since the 1999 classic teen drama "Cruel Intentions".

In January, Gellar celebrated their 24th year friendship of course, referring to the beloved film. "24 year friendship gathering...everyone's doing it...just no one is talking about it," Sarah wrote in her January 2022 post with Blair.

Blair is still touched by the post months later. "I love you so much," he wrote in the comments section in May.

Gellar and Blair also reunited with director Roger Kumble the previous year, with "Cruel Intentions" bringing more than just the two of them together.

"I can't express how excited my friends are to come and bring lunch and world news," Blair wrote on an Instagram photo featuring the trio at her home. This film definitely left a mark on those who worked on it.

It also marked a generation that featured the iconic kiss between Gellar and Blair at a time when same-sex sexuality was rarely seen in Hollywood. For many LGBTQ+ viewers, the scene had a deep impact. That included Demi Lovato, who realized she was weird thanks to that.

"I was like, 'I want to try it!' And then, when I was 17, I did. And that's when I knew," Lovato said at #ComingOut2020 on Facebook Watch.

While it wasn't strange, Gellar didn't mind kissing Blair either. Sarah Michelle Gellar has no complaints about having to kiss Selma Blair in "Cruel Intentions."

In fact, he discovered that his friend had traits that made the experience enjoyable. "She has a very smooth face and is very easy to kiss," Gellar told People in a June 1 report.

Gellar also discussed a recent recreation of the iconic kiss in the music "Taste So Good" released by Cann and Weedmaps on May 31 to kick off Pride Month. In Gellar's eyes, they succeeded.

This isn't the first time Gellar has praised his friend's kissing abilities. "Selma is a great kisser," Gellar told Us Weekly in February 2021.

In fact, the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum says she loves the experience more than kissing a guy on screen.

"Kissing a girl in front of the camera is so much better because when you kiss a guy, all your makeup is removed and in between you have to get this touch up," she adds.

Gellar and Blair aren't afraid to recreate the same scene. In December 2020, they did just that — with a glass between them.

That's a safety measure taken during the COVID-19 pandemic, they joked in the clip filmed for the MTV Awards. /viva.co.id
