According to Los Angeles county superior court documents obtained by People, the incident began when Jennifer McBride, the woman who returned Gaga's dog Koji and Gustav, demanded payment from Gaga. The woman then sued the 13-time Grammy Awards winner for not paying the $500,000 prize that Gaga had initially offered.
"No questions asked. And the offer of gifts and defaults, this is fraudulent contract promises with false statements," said the complainant's lawyer.
Gaga's attorney, Stefani Germanotta, has yet to respond. Jennifer McBride is one of five people arrested in April 2021 for the theft of Lady Gaga's dog.
