Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti called Liverpool the easiest opponent to beat in the Champions League.

He also admitted that he could easily prepare a strategy to overcome the Reds' resistance.

Madrid won 1-0 victory over Liverpool in the 2021/2022 Champions League final at the Stade de France, Sunday (29/5/2022) early morning WIB. Vinicius Junior scored the winning goal for Los Blancos in the 59th minute.

With this victory, Madrid managed to become champions of the Champions League this season. They also became the team with the highest number of wins on the European continent with 14 titles.

After the match Ancelotti said Madrid was underestimated to qualify for the final because they were lucky to beat Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Chelsea and Manchester City.

Because facing these three clubs, Los Blancos had to lose in the first leg, but managed to win a comeback in the second leg.

"Looking back, people say oh PSG unlucky, Chelsea unlucky, Manchester City unlucky, this was practically the only game where people thought we were more or less at the same level," said Ancelotti. (29/5/2022).

The Italian coach said Liverpool was an easy opponent to beat Madrid in the Champions League, because he easily knew the right strategy to win.

Ancelotti explained that pressing play was the key to his team's success in beating Jurgen Klopp's side.

"I think Liverpool are easier to beat than others, because they have a very predictable strategy and we can prepare the strategy well," he said.
