Two F1 stars, Carlos Sainz Jr. and Fernando Alonso, look to Real Madrid to win in the 2021/2022 Champions League final against Liverpool.

Understandably, both are drivers from Spain and Madrid is their favorite club.

The club nicknamed Los Blancos is eyeing their 14th Champions League title when they face Liverpool in the 2021/2022 Champions League final, Sunday (29/5/2022) at 02.00 WIB.

This match was a repeat of the 2017/2018 season final which was won by Karim Benzema and colleagues which marked their victory in three consecutive seasons.

After that, the following year the club nicknamed The Reds, Liverpool again advanced to the top party of the elite competition between these European clubs and successfully beat Tottenham Hotspur in the City of Madrid.

As a result, this season's final match will likely be difficult to predict because both teams have the ambition to add to their European competition trophy collection.

However, for Sainz, who is a loyal Madrid fan, it is a must for his favorite team to win against the Red Merseyside squad.

He believes his hero will come out victorious because he has a wealth of experience in the Champions League final, which they have won five times in the last eight years.

"I don't think Real Madrid need to win because as a team they have had a great season," Sainz said.

"Especially the players they have now, they have played many finals together and they know what they have to do to win," he said.

The same thing also came out of the mouth of the one-time F1 champion, Fernando Alonso.

The 40-year-old racer wants his team to win to close the season sweetly after previously bagging the 2021/2022 Spanish League title.

"It's been a great season for them (Madrid). As a supporter, I really enjoyed it and now it's a final, I'll try to enjoy whatever the outcome. We are proud of them," he said

On the other hand, Sainz and Alonso themselves are currently not far from the Stade de France, Paris, France, which held the big match between Madrid and Liverpool.

Both are in Monaco to undergo the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix F1 race which will be held on Sunday (29/5/2022) at 20.00 WIB. /celebrities.id
