Yami Gautam recently spoke up when his performance was criticized. Yami says he doesn't mind being criticized professionally, but not for personal attacks.

Bollywood actor Yami Gautam has just released his latest film, Dasvi and A Thursday. Apparently, he got quite a lot of criticism in his performances in the two films.

Launching Indianexpress, Sunday (29/5/2022), Yami could not stand personal comments and felt the need to comment.

In a chat with Bollywood Hungama, Yami was asked how he felt about his work on Dasvi, which received mixed reviews.

"Criticism should always occur, but not comments that are personal," he said.

"I've heard it from the start. Everyone is criticized at some stage in their life, and this will always be the case. But when it comes to being a person, that's when I feel that I'm not wrong in feeling this emotion, or that I'm not getting carried away by the emotion. I feel like expressing myself because I think it's necessary," Yami said.

Apparently, what Yami said was done to represent everyone who has been in his position.

“This profession is tough. I thought, why is it necessary to make a personal comment on someone. If an actor tries, even if you don't like him, that's okay. They are trying and have worked really hard,” said Yami.

Even if an actor is not part of some great movies, but no one should ignore his journey because they don't know it. Yami insists that he has worked all his life.

“Without compromise, keeping my dignity and values intact. I owe nothing to anyone in this industry. I'm grateful to certain directors and producers, but I don't owe anyone anything."

For information, this year Yami looks forward to the release of his two newest films, Lost and OMG 2. /celebrities.id
