However, the production team seems to have made the final decision after the public signed Amber's petition to boycott "Aquaman 2". Reportedly, a number of Amber scenes in the film will be deleted.
Later, the film which is scheduled to air on March 17, 2023 will be rearranged. It was even rumored that DC and Warner Bros. looking for a new actress to play Mera in place of Amber.
The report was confirmed by the head of the Warner Bros. film segment. and DC, Walter Hamada. Walter confirmed that Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman would reshoot once a new decision was made.
"Warner Bros. decided to rearrange the role of Amber Heard after screentesting the film. They will reshoot with Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman," said Walter.
Meanwhile, another source revealed that the role of Amber was not completely cut from the film "Aquaman 2". Although not as much as the first, Amber is reported to still have a small role in the film.
"Amber hasn't been completely cut from the film. She still has a small role," the source said.
On the other hand, Amber's representatives commented on the news. Representatives denied that Amber was kicked out of "Aquaman 2". According to him, the news made no sense and sounded crazy.
