There is bad news from the famous Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhry. This 49-year-old woman was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Mahima Chaudhry conveyed the news in an interview with actor Anupam Kher. Anupam initially invited Mahima to play in his latest film entitled The Signatures.
"I called Mahima Chaudhry a month ago from the United States to play a very important role in my 525th film, The Signature. Our conversation turned to the story that she has breast cancer. What followed was an honest conversation between us," wrote the caption. Anupam Kher on Instagram.
Mahima Chaudhry herself admitted that she routinely checks her health. But every time he checked, the cancer was never detected. He didn't feel any symptoms.
"I don't have any symptoms. I do annual tests, including blood tests and sonography. It is one of the annual checkups where the person who did my sonography said that I should be checked by dr Mandar, who is an oncologist," Mahima said.
The doctor then did an examination and said that it was pre-cancerous cells called DCIS. "Sometimes, they become cancerous and sometimes they don't," said Mahima imitating the doctor's words.
Mahima Chaudhry asked the doctor to remove the cancer cells. Doctors then performed a biopsy and found small pieces of cells that had become cancerous.
The doctor then asked Mahima Chaudhry to do chemotherapy. The Pardes movie star was scared and cried.
"But I was so scared of the word cancer, which is why I didn't share it with my parents. My mother, in particular, was very vulnerable. I just told her, 'Mom, I have a lump in my breast, so I took it out. That's why I didn't see it. mother for 10 days.' Listening to this, his blood pressure went up and down, and he passed out," said Mahima, who has an 11-year-old daughter.
But during chemotherapy, Mahima Chaudhry night found strength. In place of chemotherapy, he found many patients who share the same fate as him. But surprisingly, they were so eager to recover.
"I learned from a lot of women who came in for chemotherapy. They said, 'I'll work straight from here'. I said, 'Why do you have to work? Didn't your company give you the day off?' "I have a day off and still pay me, but I don't like sitting at home. I like work when I do this and it makes me feel normal," Mahima said.
Because of this, Mahima Chaudhry finally accepted Anupam Kher's offer to co-star in the film The Signature. Anupam also praised and called his colleague a hero.
