British musician FKA twigs recently made an unexpected confession. Through an interview with GQ magazine, the owner's full name Tahliah Debrett Barnett admitted that he had experienced a financial crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Although FKA is known as a successful musician, he was not lucky when the pandemic hit. The 34-year-old actress even admitted that she almost lost her house due to financial difficulties.
FKA revealed that as many as 22 shows had to be canceled during the pandemic. Because of that, FKA had no income because of this condition.
Because of this situation, FKA finally realized the importance of saving money properly. He admitted that he really experienced difficulties in the first year of the pandemic.
"It made me pay attention and learn a lot about things that I never really paid attention to before," said FKA. "Because I'm always on the go, I have no income when at least 22 shows at a time are canceled in just the first year of the pandemic."
FKA likened his fate to the film's slogan "Titanic". He claimed to remember his words in the past and realized that it really happened to him.
"I felt like the Titanic, and I said to everyone, 'I'm going to keep paying everyone until I can't afford to pay anyone anymore.' And ooh, it's been proven," said FKA.
FKA also tried every way to improve its finances. After a number of concerts were cancelled, FKA at that time only depended on the advertising work he received.
Thankfully, FKA was able to overcome all the existing obstacles. Thanks to his hard work, the former lover of actor Shia Labeouf did not lose his house.
"I did all my best and just tried to keep relying on advertising work around me," said FKA. (wk/Side)
