Jada Pinkett Smith Finally Comments On The Incident Of Her Husband, Will Smith Slapping Chris Rock At The 2022 Oscars. Jada Expresses Sincere Hope That The Two Can Reconcile.
Jada Pinkett Smith was as shocked as the public when she saw her husband, Will Smith suddenly slap Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars. The image of Will who was once a loving man has suddenly turned violent. Even some of his co-stars expressed their disapproval of Will's emotional attitude.
Will slaps Chris after not accepting his wife's name, Jada becomes a joke. Even so, not a few criticized Will's attitude. Some said Will was excessive to use physical violence in front of many people.
Jada and her family are currently focusing on mental and psychological healing after the shocking incident. Interestingly, Jada for the first time commented on the incident after previously remaining silent.
Through a Red Table Talk interview, Jada seems to regret her husband's actions. He also expressed his sincere hope that Will and Chris could reconcile.
The mother-of-two hopes that Chris and Will will meet each other in person to discuss the Oscar incident one-on-one. Jada says a lot of people around the world want Chris and Will to reconcile.
"Now about Oscar night, my deepest hope is that these two intelligent and capable men have a chance to heal, talk about this and make peace," said Jada.
Jada admits that the husband's attitude is completely unjustified. Jada says both she and Will are trying to be better people.
"The current state of the world, we need both. And we all actually need each other more than ever," said Jada. "Until then, Will and I have continued to do what we've been doing for the past 28 years, and that's kept thinking about this thing called living together. Thanks for listening."
Meanwhile, Chris Rock himself is known to have decided not to take this matter to law. Will has also expressed his apologies to Chris. He admits he was wrong and regrets his actions. (wk/Side)
