Maksim Chmerkovskiy's wife, Peta Murgatroyd, reveals that she had a miscarriage when her husband was trapped in Ukraine when Russia invaded the country.
Male dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy is happy to be reunited with his little family. Maksim had previously been trapped in Ukraine when Russia invaded the country.
After successfully escaping to Poland and returning to the United States, Maksim is now reunited with his wife, Peta Murgatroyd and his beloved son, Shai. Meanwhile, Peta recently opened up about the difficult times when Maksim went to Ukraine.
Through an interview with People, Peta reveals an unexpected confession. The mother of one admitted that she had had a miscarriage when Maksim was trapped in Ukraine.
Peta admitted that at first she did not know that she was pregnant. He learned the news after being rushed to the hospital because his condition was not healthy.
"I don't have the energy. I can't open the dishwasher. I can't open the fridge to feed Shai, to make him toast," says Peta. "It got so bad that my breath started to get affected. It was really dramatic."
The doctor then said that Peta was carrying a fetus. However, he was suspicious because the doctor looked sad and sorry when he wanted to continue the results of the examination.
"I thought he was going to reveal really bad news. I was like, 'What's wrong?' Her face lowered. She said, 'Did you know you are pregnant?' recalls Map.
Peta, who was happy to hear the news of the pregnancy, was suddenly saddened after the doctor said the fetus had miscarried. He couldn't even speak and express his feelings.
"I ended up not knowing I was pregnant. For a moment I felt happy and wanted to scream 'I'm pregnant again!' But for a moment the doctor said, 'You lost it,' said Peta.
Peta immediately contacted her husband. At that time, Peta felt the urge to immediately follow Maksim to Ukraine. "I was like, 'Screw it. I'll fly to you in Ukraine,' Peta exclaimed.
Peta also admitted that he had experienced difficulties. He couldn't believe such an experience had happened to him.
"I felt like I was dying, but then I clearly knew what had happened. It was too much for my body and I couldn't do it. I couldn't believe this was happening to me," said Peta. (wk/Side)
