According to an unnamed jury, jury members felt much of Amber heard's story was out of sync, the majority of members felt she was the aggressor.
The defamation trial between actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard which lasted for approximately one month finally ended some time ago with Depp winning the lawsuit. But recently, a member of the trial jury spoke about Heard's shocking testimony.
Speaking to ABC News, the jury said they were basically uncomfortable with Heard's crying behavior in court. Heard, he called it easy to change his expression so that they dubbed his cries as crocodile tears.
"The crying, the facial expressions he had, the stares at the jury...we were all very uncomfortable," the jury said. "He answered one question and he would cry and then two seconds later he would be icy cold. Some of us used the phrase 'crocodile tears.'"
According to the unnamed jury, jurors felt much of Heard's story was out of sync, the majority of members felt he was the aggressor. In contrast to Depp, who they found more natural in responding.
"A lot of the jury felt what he (Depp) said was, in the end, more believable," the jury said. "He seemed a bit more real in terms of how he responded to questions. His emotional state was very stable throughout the trial."
The jury went on to say that he and his fellow jurors referred to the evidence when deciding their verdict. He denied claims made by Heard and his lawyers that the group was influenced by social media.
"In the end what I think is true is that they both harassed each other," the jury said. "I don't think that makes any of them right or wrong. But to get to the level of what he (Heard) claims, there's not enough evidence whatsoever to really support what he's saying."
The verdict in the Depp-Heard case came out on June 1. Depp was awarded $15 million in damages from the jury, although Heard only had to pay 10.35 million due to laws limiting damages. (wk/zodi)
