Long Disappeared After The Incident Of Slapping Chris Rock At The 2022 Oscar Awards, Actor Will Smith Now Returns To The Big Screen Through The Second Sequel 'I Am Legend'.
Will Smith surprised the public with the news that he would star in the second sequel to the film "I Am Legend". The news comes after Will's long absence after the incident slapping Chris Rock on the Oscar 2022 stage.
Will slaps Chris after not accepting his wife's name, Jada Pinkett Smith, as a joke. Even so, not a few criticized Will's attitude. Some said Will was overreacting to using physical violence in front of many people.
If this is true, then the second sequel to "I Am Legend" will be Will's comeback film to the big screen. The film will be produced by Will's own production company, Westbrook Media.
Later, Will will reprise his role as a virologist named Robert Neville. The film is based on the popular 1954 novel by Richard Matheson.
"The script is being written with mention of the character and until now. Will remains attached to this project. The concept is still to be signed by Warner Brothers, but there is no indication that Will is leaving the project," an insider told The Sun.
Some fans said they were happy with Will's return to the world of acting. Not a few who think that Will will not return to the world of entertainment.
Moreover, his name has been banned by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences from attending the Oscars for 10 years. This is as a sanction for the incident slapping Chris Rock at the event.
Meanwhile, Chris Rock himself is known to have decided not to take this matter to law. Will has also expressed his apologies to Chris. He admits he was wrong and regrets his actions.
On the other hand, Jada Pinkett Smith recently expressed the hope that Chris and Will would meet each other in person to discuss the Oscar incident one-on-one. Jada says a lot of people around the world want Chris and Will to reconcile.
Unfortunately, Chris reportedly did not care about Jada's statement. Chris is claimed not to want to remember the events at the 2022 Oscars. Chris chooses not to care about what the Smith family says or does. Now, Chris is reportedly focused on preparing his latest project. (wk/Side)
