Actor "Shazam!" Zachary Levi recently talked about his life experiences in the past. The actor apparently had suffered from a total mental disorder. As a result, he had to be admitted to a psychiatric ward for three weeks.


In Elizabeth Vargas' podcast "Heart of the Matter" in footage obtained by the Hollywood Reporter Thursday, Levi says, "I didn't realize I was struggling with these things until I was 37, about five years ago. , and I had a complete mental breakdown."


Unfavorable family conditions encourage Levi to turn to sex and drugs or alcohol. But it turns out, it actually led him to the darkness that made him have to end up in a vicious circle.


"The irony is that booze can give you temporary relief, but then the next day it amplifies that anxiety tenfold." "So you run back for more, and that just leads to a vicious cycle."


The "Chuck" alumni's mental health struggles escalated until she had a panic attack about where to eat. He once had to walk around for 10 minutes because he didn't know which place to eat.


"I was sitting in my truck, and I clearly remember I was holding the steering wheel, and I was shaking back and forth, trying to get away from what was going on, and I was crying," she explained. "I was like, 'God, help me'."


Levi reveals that he ended up visiting the emergency room due to suicidal thoughts and ended up in a psychiatric ward.


"I had very active thoughts about ending my life," he explained. "The lies were whispering into my ear, and the failure I felt was enough to turn into whispers like, 'Zach, looks like you're not going to make it out of this'."


After undergoing intensive therapy, she finally found a way to manage her struggles. "I think one of the most important things, at least for me, is capturing my mind," he said. (wk/zodi)
