Amber Heard Reportedly Just Selling Her Luxury Home. Is it true that Amber intended the sale of the house to pay off a billion-million-dollar fine to Johnny Depp after losing the case?
The legal case of former celebrity couple Amber Heard and Johnny Depp has been decided by the court. The court determined that Depp was not entirely at fault in the alleged domestic violence case claimed by Amber.
As a result, Amber had to accept defeat with a libel lawsuit. The results of the trial decided that Amber had to pay compensation of 15 million USD or equivalent to Rp. 218 billion to Depp.
However, it was recently reported that Amber had difficulty paying compensation to Depp. The reason is, the insurance refuses to cover Amber's compensation costs to Depp. It is known, Amber had requested that her insurance policy cover all of her fine obligations.
Akris "Aquaman" hopes not to spend a penny on his ex-husband. However, Amber's insurance refused the request. They objected and felt they had no responsibility to close Amber's legal case.
While the latest reports say that Amber has just sold her luxury home located in Yucca Valley, California. Because of this, it was suspected that Amber had difficulty paying Depp's compensation until she was willing to sell her assets.
However, until now, Amber has not spoken about the purpose of selling her house. On the other hand, the legal team had rejected objections to the amount of compensation that Amber had to pay to Depp.
Amber's legal team said the client did not have enough money to cover the value of the loss. Amber's lawyer, Elaine Bredhoft, also briefly revealed that the compensation figure set by the court was very difficult for the client. "Oh no (not being able to pay Dep's compensation), absolutely not," said Amber's lawyer.
After losing the case with Depp, Amber and her team are known to have filed an appeal to the court. Amber did not accept and asked the court to overturn the previous judge's decision. He also requested that the case be re-investigated.
Amber's lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, called the judge's decision inconsistent. He also doubted the credibility of the judges who handled the Amber and Depp cases. "The decisions reached by the seven jurors were inconsistent and irreconcilable. We saw a weakness in the credibility of the judges," said Elaine.
Unfortunately, Amber's appeal was rejected by the court. Judge Penny Azcarate said the court could not grant the appeal because Amber's claim was considered prejudice without any strong evidence to support it.
Penny confirmed that the judge's decision was correct. He said the trial decision was taken after much consideration by the judge and expert jury. (wk/Side)
