Chris Pratt admits he could only spell 'Schwarzenegger' his wife's name after 3 years of marriage

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Chris Pratt was asked if he ever had trouble spelling out his wife's last name, Katherine Schwarzenegger.

Husband and wife Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger last month announced the happy news of the birth of their second child, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt. Katherine is the daughter of iconic action star and former California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger. She has been married to Pratt since 2019.

This week, Pratt appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his new upcoming film, "Jurassic World Dominion". The host asked Pratt if he had any trouble spelling 'Schwarzenegger' and the actor admitted he had a bit of trouble in the past.

"May I ask you a question? Honestly... Have you ever had trouble spelling Schwarzenegger?" Kimmel asked. Pratt replied with a laugh, "I've learned it now. Yes, I can now."

Kimmel recalled that when Arnold was governor and he had to do a monologue, he found it quite inconvenient. "I had to tell you when he was governor and I used to have to write a lot of it when we did monologues, and every time I had to really think about it," he explained.

Pratt also admitted that it was indeed a long name. "There are a lot of letters in these children's names. Schwarzenegger is a second middle name. We don't hyphenate the name, it's a middle name, but I think maybe it's semantic."

When asked if it was Arnold's choice to include Schwarzenegger in his children's names, Pratt said, "No, no, it was Katherine's idea. She insists, and what a mother says, it must be done."

Meanwhile, Pratt will return to the big screen with the upcoming "Jurassic World Dominion". He will star alongside Bryce Dallas Howard. “Jurassic World Dominion” is currently scheduled to hit theaters on June 10. (wk/zodi)
