On November 12, 2021, Netflix presented an action comedy-themed film that brought together three well-known Hollywood stars, namely Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson, and Gal Gadot.
The three are the main characters in this film, entitled "Red Notice". Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber it is his first Netflix original film. In addition to the three Hollywood stars, this film is also enlivened by Ritu Arya, Chris Diamantopoulous, Ivan Mbakop and other actors.
Red Notice itself is a Netflix original film that spends the most expensive budget compared to other Netflix-produced films. An interesting fact about this film is that even though the film features a large number of backdrops, it was filmed in only five locations, namely Paris, Rome, Atlanta, Sardinia and Tyler Perry Studios.
The film begins when the number one thief in the world, Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds), plans to steal Cleopatra's egg which is in a museum in Italy. John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson), an FBI member who finds out about Nolan's plans, finally leaves for the museum, accompanied by his colleague, Inspector Dash (Ritu Arya).
A chase ensues in the museum, and Nolan, who manages to outwit Hartley, flees to his hiding place. However, to his surprise Hartley had arrived at Nolan's hideout. Hartley finally manages to catch Nolan thanks to information from The Bishop (Gal Gadot), a thief who wants to beat Nolan.
Before Nolan was arrested he said that there were three eggs, of which Nolan had one of them. Meanwhile, it turns out that Hartley was framed by Bishop. In the end, Hartley was arrested along with Nolan. Hartley, who doesn't accept it, works with Nolan to defeat Bishop by finding the two remaining eggs.
They both act by looking for a second egg, Bishop also goes down in this egg hunt. Unexpectedly, it turns out that Hartley is Bishop's lover who is also a con artist. Here, Nolan feels cheated by this swindling couple, until finally Nolan is able to avenge them, which in the end they unite and become the most wanted trio of thieves in the world.
This Red Notice film is a film that is packed with fresh comedy that is able to entertain throughout the film, this comedy continues to come from Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson whose chemistry is very strong in this film, and also added by Gal Gadot. The storyline of this film can be said to be quite fast and many plot-twists are presented. Famous singer Ed Sheeran was also present as a cameo in this film. Bali is also shouted out in this film!
