Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter to lament the loss of Internet Explorer which was officially discontinued last week, mentioning an early role in a short-lived TV series.

Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds also responded to the end of the Internet Explorer service. The "Free Guy" actor mourned the end of the Microsoft service by reminiscing about the early days of his career when the web browser first debuted.

Developed by Microsoft, Internet Explorer was launched in 1995 as one of the first web browsers. This program is included with Microsoft's line of Windows operating systems, making Internet Explorer one of the top names in early household Internet use.

Reynolds has seen his career rise over the last decade with several high profile films. Viewers will likely recognize him from the comic book-based megahits "Deadpool" and "Deadpool 2". More recently, Reynolds has made a splash on Netflix with films like "Red Notice" and "The Adam Project".

However, fans of the actor also know him for his comedic social media posts. Reynolds took to Twitter to mourn the loss of Internet Explorer. He mentioned his early role in the short-lived TV series, "Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years", which premiered its first and only season a few weeks after Internet Explorer's debut. Reynolds commented on the crazy years since, stating he couldn't imagine what it would be like if IE wasn't around at that time.

"Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years was one of my first jobs back in 1995," Reynolds wrote. "It's been a crazy 27 years and I can't imagine doing it without you, Internet Explorer. The show didn't deserve another season but you really did it..."

However, who would have thought that Reynolds' chatter would get a direct response from Microsoft Edge, which seemed to immediately follow up on it. "Drafted email to boss to notify Ryan Reynolds wants Internet Explorer back," the official account wrote.

It is known that Reynolds has carved out a stellar career from his humble beginnings on shows like "Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years". Recent hits such as "Free Guy" have seen his unique style of humor and comedic delivery continue to captivate audiences. (wk/zodi)
