Actress Cameron Diaz is known to have retired from the world of acting that has made her name. Cameron decided to retire because he wanted to focus on taking care of his little family.
However, lately Cameron has returned to acting on the small screen after an eight-year hiatus. Cameron is coming out of retirement by starring in the upcoming Netflix film "Back In Action". Cameron will later compete acting with actor Jamie Foxx.
Interestingly, it was revealed that Jamie was the figure who played a big role behind Cameron's return to acting. The 54-year-old actor admitted to persuading and convincing Cameron to quit his retirement and return to acting.
Jamie assured Cameron that the film they would be working on would be a lot of fun. Jamie was so happy to hear that Cameron was finally back in acting. It is known, the two are indeed close friends and were involved in a joint project in 2014 by starring in the film "Annie".
"Do you want to have fun? Have fun!' And I think that's what got him there," Jamie said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "Sometimes we miss special moments, in our business, and I think this is a special moment. So we are very happy that it happened and looking forward to it."
Jamie admitted that he struggled to win Cameron's heart to accept the offer to work with him. "We had to be very innovative in how we, you know, brought it back," Jamie said.
Jamie felt that Cameron Diaz's talent was so great that it was a shame to waste it. He called Cameron an extraordinary actress. "Cameron is a tremendous force and he has done a lot in this business. We love him," said Jamie.
Before retiring, Cameron made his final film appearance in the adaptation of Will Gluck's musical "Annie". The four-time Golden Globe-nominated actress is best known for her roles in films such as "Vanilla Sky", "There's Something About Mary", "The Holiday", "Being John Malkovich" and "My Sister's Keeper" as well as the "Shrek" and "Charlie's Angels".
